Visitor management questions, answered.
Everything you need to know before you run myvisitors.app at your front desk — apps, hardware, deployment, pricing, and security.
Do visitors need to install an app to check in?
No. myvisitors.app is a contactless visitor management system — visitors scan a QR code and check in from their own phone's browser. There is nothing to download and no account to create.
Does myvisitors.app support visitor self check-in?
Yes. Visitor self check-in is the default: the guest scans a QR code and signs themselves in from their own phone — no reception staff or kiosk needed. It's QR code visitor management from end to end.
Is there a free QR code visitor management plan?
There's no permanently free plan, but you can start with a free trial and a free 20-minute demo. Pricing is then one flat annual licence — never per user, per seat, or per visitor.
Do I need any reception hardware or a kiosk?
No kiosks, tablets, or scanners are required. A printed QR code at your reception desk is enough. Security can optionally scan visitor passes from any phone.
Is myvisitors.app self-hosted, cloud, or SaaS?
It's always a dedicated, single-tenant deployment — either self-hosted on your own infrastructure (on-premise or your cloud), or a dedicated instance we run for you on public cloud in your chosen region. It is never a shared, multi-tenant SaaS, so your visitor data is always isolated to your organisation.
How is myvisitors.app priced?
One flat annual licence — never per user, per seat, per branch, or per visitor. Because it runs on dedicated infrastructure (yours or an instance we host), there is no cap on office branches, visitors, or staff.
How does the host get notified when a visitor arrives?
Instantly by email, with one-tap approve or decline — no login required. Hosts can also approve from the dashboard, and the visitor's badge status updates the moment they act.
Can visitors check themselves out?
Yes — plus front-desk one-click check-out and automatic check-out past a set maximum visit duration, so your on-site occupancy count stays accurate.
Can I run multiple offices or branches?
Yes. Manage unlimited locations from a single dashboard, each with its own reception QR and location-scoped, role-based access.
Is myvisitors.app suitable for small businesses?
Yes. A small business or single office can go live in an afternoon with just a printed QR at reception — no kiosk, no hardware. Because pricing is a flat annual licence with no per-user or per-visitor fees, the cost doesn't punish you for growing.
Does it work for large, multi-location enterprises?
Yes. Enterprises run unlimited locations from one dashboard with six role-based access levels, location-scoped data and reporting, SSO, and directory sync from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 — all on a dedicated, single-tenant deployment (your infra or one we host) for full data governance.
Is myvisitors.app DPDP-ready and suitable for offices in India?
myvisitors.app is built in India and is a dedicated, single-tenant deployment — self-hosted on your own infrastructure in India, or a dedicated instance we run for you in an India region. Either way visitor data stays isolated and in India, you remain the Data Fiduciary, and you can enforce consent, retention, and erasure. That puts you in a strong position under India's DPDP Act. There is no "DPDP-certified" badge in the market, so judge a visitor management system on data residency, consent capture, retention controls, and audit logs. Talk to us about your specific DPDP requirements.
Can I use my own logo and branding?
Yes. Your logo and company name appear on the visitor badge, the login screen, and the visitor pages, and notification email templates are editable.
Where does my employee / host directory come from?
Add hosts manually, import from CSV or Excel, or sync your directory from Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 (Entra ID), with SSO.
Is visitor data secure?
Traffic runs over HTTPS, access is role-based and location-scoped, host approval links are single-use, passes are time-bound, and visitor selfies are cleaned up automatically. See the Security page for details.
What happens to an expired or declined visitor pass?
It is clearly marked “NOT VALID” and shows no scannable QR, so it cannot be reused for entry.
How long does setup take?
Usually an afternoon — set up your locations, print each reception QR, add or sync your hosts, and you are live.
Give your front desk a serious upgrade.
